Shofuku Ji Temple -  its importance lies in being the first Zen Temple that has knowledge in Japan. It was built by the funndador of the sect Zen, Eisai, in 1995. Near the temple there is a set of buildings, such as Jotenji and Tochoji. There are also traces of what were traditional houses of that time. As a whole creates an atmosphere full of serenity. In its early days was the Temple of the feudal Lord Nagamasa Kuroda. It contains the tombs of descendants of Kuroda and his successor: Shimai Soshitsu, one of the three famous Heroes of Hakata. Fukuoka Festivals

No festivals we know how to categorize the city of Fukuoka, but if they were to classify Japanese cities by his love of holidays and celebrations, one of the first places would occupy it Fukuoka. 1 To July 15, held in the city Hakata Gion Yamakasa, Temple Kushida and throughout the entire city. Asian Pacific festival, created as a cultural exchange between the city of Fukuoka and other Asian countries is held during the month of September. They are mainly students from other Asian countries who attend the festival, during which numerous Asian, not only Japanese dishes can be tasted.
